a bit of inconveinioce to go original
im int the process of restoring a 69 lwb and the cab that came asembled on the truck was rusted beyond all help
in search of a new cab i found one but the dash had been cut out for a cd player and i want the original radio in the dash so to find a solurion for this problem worked it out on the rusted cab there r only about 30 spot welds across the windsheild ledge so i drilled them all out and out came the dash now i got a cab with dash still spoted in and the dash i want in whati would like to do is not have to mess with the windsheild ledge on this new cab and i cant really think of a good way to weld or bolt in the new dash any sudgestions?

You can cut it across where the dash pad bolts on, tack weld the good part on to it and you are good to go..... LockDoc

A good place to cut the dash is in between the slots under the dash pad. The welds won't have to be perfect under the dash pad.
