I wanted to take out the gauge cluster but I couldn't get the wiper switch to come out. I need to take this out so I can replace my dash pad. Is there a way to replace dash pad w/o removing gauges?

C'mon Mario - you have had your Blazer for how long and you haven't taken out the gauge cluster? I do that first to clean it up a bit...

Isn't there just 4 screws that hold the dash pad in, been so long I forget

@ bigbad, is the screw behind the knob? I pulled on it and it didn't come off. Do I even need to take the gauge cluster out to get to the dash pad bolts? @ Lksdcvn, you know me Tom, I've had that dash pad for nearly two years. I just drive the thing. @ jaros, I took the four screws out and that sucker didn't want to come out.

The wiper switch on the right on the gauge cluster has a screw on the knob that holds it on to the rod in the switch. The light switch on the left of the cluster is trickier in that their is a small push button that you push in and pull the knob and rod out in one piece. You'll need to reach under/behind the cluster to get to the top of the switch itsself and feel the button to push in.

I haven't replaced my pad yet, but from looking at it before, it seems it would be easier if the cluster was removed.
