70 Chevy C-10 ?

Hi, I just purchase a 70 chevy longbed this last weekend. I know that there is alot of talk about disc brake upgrades for these models with drums. I was wondering what year of trucks I could take the disc brakes off of and bolt right up to my truck? What do I need to take off the truck with disc brakes?

Thanks,
Chris

71/72 is a direct swap.Get the steering knuckles-out.Pop the ball joints, pull the beake hose from the frame end,and get the proportioning valve.I`d try to get the master cyl/booster/plunger-rod to the pedal, too.

I like to use '71/'72 model spindles, calipers, inner/outer tie rods, center link pitman arm and steering arm. You can buy a special tie rod sleeve that will link you original inner tie rod to a '71/'72 model outer tie rod, that way you don't have to replace all that other stuff (center link, pitman, steering arms). The sleeve is avaliable @ classicperform.com.
