Bottom of heater motor ?
Looked at heater pics on the board but couldn't find what i was looking for. On my heater box in the engine bay i have 4 bolts that extend off the blower motor. What attaches to that or does anything? Was there some sort of motor cover for the blower or something i am missing? thx

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
Can you post pics? I don't see anything sticking off the end of ours.

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
I've never seen a cover on these. It sounds like someone may have replaced the motor and simply used non-original extra long screws.

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
I just replaced mine with one from Napa. It had two bolts that stuck out of the motor about 1". They actually hold the motor together. Is that what you're talking about?

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
here is the pic, maybe that is just how it is but it seems something is missing especially with the seal up against the bottom of the fan.

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
From what I can see of it, that doesn't look like the correct fan motor.

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
I would agree. I don't recall having any foam like that on any of the three trucks I've had. Mine have all mounted with sheetmetal screws too.

Re: Bottom of heater motor ?
It mounts with sheet metal screws also. It works so i suppose i will just use it until it goes out. No telling, i have found some interesting stuff on this truck from previous owner. Just a little hideous looking. thx guys..
