JWall's 72 C-10

THIS IS MY OLD 72 - FOR THE BLACK 72 BUILD CLICK HERE

Well I decided I needed to start a build thread for the truck even though it is not a complete build...

1972 C-10 SWB - 350 Crate Engine with Mild Cam - Flowmaster Dual Exhaust - Custom Autosound Radio - GT Nostalgia Steering Wheel - Tilt, Tach, A/C -
ECE 4/6 Drop - 15" Ralleys w/ 235/70/15 Cooper Cobras

I have never really bought anything this close to being done but I really liked this truck and know a little history about it.
I know the guy whos Uncle bought it new & pretty much where its been since then. Plus I really did not want to do a complete build at this time. I am replacing my 94 Chevy Show truck with this and didnt want to be out of the car shows during a long build process.

Here is the truck as it sets today....

________________________________________________________________________________________________

I had only changed a few little things in these pics...like the steering wheel, rearview mirror, painted a few things, new exhaust, etc.

Here is is the first round of pictures with the 2/4 Drop & Old Center Caps...

Re: JWall's 72 C-10

Thanks guys. I have been working on getting it detailed out under the hood since these pics...painting and cleaning stuff.

I am pleased with how its turning out.

It will make its show debut at the Darryl Starbird Show here in Tulsa in Mid-Feb.

Alright, it's about time and I'm geared up for this.

Subscribed!!!

You had better consider making it to the KS Goodguy's or the Midwest All Truck Nat's in KC, MO in 2010.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Nice truck, the paint looks great, and the motor compartment is really clean. I like your personal touches to make it look close to a Cheyenne Super. Trevor

Re: JWall's 72 C-10

I think you should leave the current caps on there. The newer caps detract from the OE look.

I thought about that but since the ralleys arent OE anyways I liked the look of the newer caps. Its something that can be easily changed back if I dont like it once its lowered.

I agree, they're not stock so it shouldn't matter. Go w/what you like.

I'm already jealous of this truck, and it's gonna get worse when you get the 4/6 on.

I'll be following this one.

Well I got the truck aligned today & got to drive it a little since the drop kit install and I'm pleased.
I am happy with the ride quality and the look.
