Big Red Valves

Ordered a set of Big red valves only to receive a e-mail stating they are now a discontinued item and are no longer being produced as of last week. Therefore I was credited with a return. Anyone else heard this?

Guess I'll have to go SDC Valves if that's the case.

Re: Big Red Valves

No explanation was given. Maybe someone will have a clue. Maybe they are forcing everyone to their next higher priced setup?

Re: Big Red Valves

Who did you order from? Call Tony or Jon and ask them what the deal is. They are making lots of updates, and it looks like Big Reds may be on the way out.

Re: Big Red Valves

Sammy,
To answer your question We are redesigning the valve to be one solid 4 station block, no forcing to a higher priced set up since there isn't one, the Big Red valves are the higher of the two styles (Big Red/ Ride Pro).
We should have the newly designed valves available in approx. 2 months. I will keep you all posted.

I'll hold to see what the redesigned valves end up in cost. 8-!/2 SMC full set shipped I found at $350. 3/8 SMC about $100 less.

Re: Big Red Valves

Thanks for the insight Jon. Does that mean that you aren't shipping any valves right now, or just the Big Red?

Re: Big Red Valves

I ordered thru INNOVATIVE AIR I think. They were priced great at $422 shipped for the set of Big Reds. As I did on-line shopping that was their regular price they sell them for. Everywhere else I look they are $725 or so for the set. Gives you an idea what the mark-up these company's work with if one place can make a profit at that price where as another sells them at over $700 same brand name and quality product.
A little tricker as I've been shopping also for a 5 gallon air tank. Trying to find a chrome 5 gal made in the US of A with 7 or 8 ports. With 4-1/2 ports face(valves). (2-compressors ports or they could br "T") 3/8 each end, 1/4 (gauge and drain) top and bottom. Every place I do find them they are out of stock. Is this asking for too much?

Re: Big Red Valves

Yes, I don't have it handy though. I just was searching for the best deal on valves and they had a secure site according to Norton. And thats how I found them. I imagine just do a search for them thu Google.
