Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Just thought I'd share a pic. Got done with the first blocking session and backed it outside to blow it off. Thought I'd share a pic.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Thanks
2.5" spindles plus 3" springs in front. Rear is flipped, two leaves removed and a 2" drop hanger. Im gonna put a 1" block in the rear as well. It sits about 1.75" taller in the rear. Some places I park it it looks silly. |

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Are your wheels the look-a-like halibrands? I am considering getting some of those and curious of the quality.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Sweet truck, I love the stance. What would your rear drop be if it was coil spring? (inches)

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
You're gonna paint it!?? Personally I think it looks cool as all hell right now. That look just works on some trucks and yours pulls it off in spades.
I dig the wheels and stance, as well.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Thanks a lot guys, you keep a man going. I have no idea what the drop would be with a coil rearend. Its a bunch. The wheels are the fake Halibrands from e-bay. The guy has them on there on and off. He is a bang up guy to deal with. I ordered to wide a wheel for the rear and he exchanged them for an additional $10. Great guy when you can find him. No m not about ready for paint, I WISH!!. Im going black with this one with upper and lower chrome. I want it straight as hell. It started life as a 3/4 ton long box Nov. of last year. Just about ready for paint, ya right. Anyway, thanks for the input. PS if you come through Montana let me know, we will have to get together and have a cold one.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Truck is looking great! Nice stance. Must be great being that far along on a project. Miss the snow too, lived in BC for three years. Just got a parcel from Red Lodge yesterday. 'Dan The Gear Man' (Quad 4X4) from near Clear Creek Road sending me over Dana axle parts.
Good luck with the rest of the prep work, painting and finishing. Bill.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Love the wheels! If you don't mind what are the tire and rim sizes, offsets? Do you have the contact for the guy you bought them from? Price? Brand? Thanks.

Re: Lowrider in the snow! Pic
Personally, I like the way it sits. A slight rake isn't a bad thing. I have more than that with my setup. Yours looks good. Black paint and both side trims will look good. At least you're putting some bling on the black. Someone started a post about doing what he called a "murder" black paint job....all black...everything. Just doesn't make it in my book.
Whenever my truck is painted, it'll have Goodmark-style flames on the front, with all of the holes filled, that used to hold on the upper/lower side trim. Saw some trim in LR, that had been redone. Guy used oven cleaner on it first, then started polishing with Tripoli, followed by a white compound. The trim was beautiful!

Stance looks great, and what could compliment it better than a dead straight body covered in black!
