they stood me up.
Some of you read that I was supposed to trade my 2001 GMC stepside today for a 67 stepside.
Well I drove the 120 miles to Centerville Texas. We were supposed to meet at 10am. I got there at 9 and waited till 11. I texted and called with no reply. On the way home at 12:15 I texted him telling him "thanks for wasting my f'in time". He texts back saying "you didnt get my text". I replied "whatever man I was there from 9-11. So an hour later I stop at a verizon store to buy a new battery for my phone and a car charger. Im sitting in my truck texting my wife and he texts asking if I still want to meet up and where? I texted him back saying F the texting and to call me. He never called so I texted back asking what the f is the deal and where is he. Well he texted back saying he is in Ennis at the races. That right outside of Dallas. Five hours away from me. Im so pissed I hate beep like this. I even talked to him last night and he said he would be there. I had to make arrangements for my kids, spend 3/4 a tank of gas and most of my day. edited please use the classified area Here's the one I was supposed to get today. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/871101078.html

Re: they stood me up.
That really sucks, karma, karma, karma. Don't let it get to you too much, this is how I think of these kinds of things. With the money and time you wasted you learned a lesson. I bet you won't do business like that again. I hope your next deal works out for you.

Re: they stood me up.
After all that he still had the nerve to call you what a a-hole. Don't worry sometimes happen for a reason. If he couldn't meet with you maybe the deal was not a true deal. How much are you looking to spend on a truck a friend of mine has a 67 short bed just painted hugger orange very nice. He is thinking about selling.

Re: they stood me up.
I'm not familiar with how Craigslist operates but maybe you can hit him with some really bad feedback, if CL has that sort of thing?

Re: they stood me up.
That stinks. There's no reason not to communicate, especially if you know somebody else has made plans. I've had great success with craigslist.

Re: they stood me up.
theyammieguy that was a real bummer and sorry to hear that!!! Food for thought. If he is really interested in your GMC...have him drive up to meet you. I am hard pressed to understand why he stood you up if he was really interested in a trade. But maybe give him the benefit of the doubt. I am sure your 2001 GMC is nice but...the 67 Stepside would be better. JMHO. Good Luck

Re: they stood me up.
I like my privacy and I don't like people, especially people I don't know, knowing where I live. I would, however, have him meet me halfway at a popular parking lot with lots of people around.

Re: they stood me up.
Well it is entirely possible he sent you a text. And that you didnt get it.
However, this why you CALL. Technology isnt perfect. And when its important you should always call. Sorry to hear you got "boned".

Re: they stood me up.
You must be young and inexperienced in the world of revenge!! Send the butt head another text message and include a sultry picture of some chick ---imply you are the girl and want to buy his truck for your dad and would he be willing to meet up with you---and that you would need directions to a local motel as you would need to spend the night as it is a long drive in you Jag-----get the idea!!!
Then screw the jerk like he did you only send him a phone call message laughing!! That's how old guys repay buttheads who screw them over!! Come on, get creative and have fun doing it!! Huck |
