I got my truck out of the paint shop finally after four months and today I had a little time to try on its new shoes. I know that the tires were too much without a lift but I'm still trying to decided if a 4" lift will work or should I go with 6". Either way I don't have the money to spend on it but it's nice to dream.

Along with a paint job I had the seat recovered and new springs added where needed and the guy also recovered the dash pad and covered the metal area between the windshield and pad. I like the way it came out since the p.o. had cut a hole in the speaker area.

you should check out the new dash pad that Brothers has - it has the same setup with three gauges molded into the dash pad area. I'm seriously considering getting one.

yes, i had seen that before but totally forgot about it. thanks for the reminder.
it seems really nice and would add a unique touch to the interior. my truck needs a whole lot of other work before i consider this but it's something i'd like eventually. 300 bucks though, eeek! lol

I paid $250. to recover/repair the seat, recover the pad and cover the dash. Not a bad deal.

Your going to need at least 6" lift to clear that tall & wide of tire without rubbing.

I was thinking the same thing. I had a 84 Chevy w/6" and ran 38's Gumbo Mudders. Wow...Gumbo Mudders...do they still make them?

NICE!!!!

Are those 33's? I plan on putting 33-12.50 BFG A/T's on my Burb when it's fixed up in a couple years, the pickup comes first! Those old ones look like the 7.5-16's that were on the rear of my pickup before, they lasted a long time.

The new tires are 35x15.50 and the old are 9.50x16.5.

Your`s is one of my favorites...First Dibs!!It`s looking really good.I bet you`re happy.It`s more like tryin`on boots on a 4wd

.With that combo you`d need 6".You can get away with a 4" lift and 35s if they`re 12.50s on 8" rims.I think 6" still allows the best clearance and heck,it`s only 2"(making space between thumb and index finger).I`m looking for a Stepside for ome of my K/20 & K2500s.

ya they still make gumbo mudders, i may be getting some real soon now that im out of work.
your truck looks awesome, i also think 6", look on ebay,sometimes you can find a scratch and dent sale on springs.
