Rear leaf springs 67-68 4x4

Im brand new here so please bare with me...

Im currently building a 1968 1/2 ton 4x4. Originally a Utah truck and has all factory everything. There are just 2 leaf spring out back on each side, which to my understanding, are factory 67 and 68 only. No overloads either. They taper from 3" wide at the hangers to 2" wide at the rear end. Also they are thicker than traditional leaf springs where they meet the rear end. Just wondering if anyone has some insight on these rear springs? Im wanting a soft ride out back and it wont be towing too often. I just bought a 4" shackle flip kit from ORD and Im getting it ready to lift it, I would rather not buy brand new soft ride springs being that they are almost $500... Thanks anyhow!

They are also longer than 69 and up springs. Last I checked, no one made an over the counter lift spring to replace it. A custom spring would have to be made. I relocated the spring mounts on mine to use the later more common springs.
