Rear slider install, Need Help!
I searched all my old post and the search bar, but can't find the thread with the good tips on putting in a new rear window.
Do you start by putting the Top in first or the Bottom? |

Re: Rear slider install, Need Help!
Bottom first using 1/4" or 3/16" nylon or polypropylene rope to peel open the seal while someone applies pressure from the outside. Working one side at a time and with the rope pressed inside the outside half of the seal. The seal is placed on the window first then the rope is pushed into the seal. The bottom can be set in place with the rope ends located anywhere along the bottom. As pressure is applied from someone outside holding the window in place, the rope is carefully pulled peeling open the seal lip allowing the window to fit in to place. Use plenty of soapy water to aid in slipping the seal in to place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvcJ_lU_VpQ

Re: Rear slider install, Need Help!
Well, it's in.
I think I used a rope that was too big. The lower corners were kinda tough, but with a few breaks and a beer, it went in. I did learn a lot |
