Ok I just realized something...
I saw a truck at pick n pull today, was a 1 ton flatbed, and it had 64-66 style cab, but it was a 63 DASH. So NO knee knocker doors. I really don't think this truck was something someone customized. The other odd thing was that it was supposedly a 65, is what they had written on the side of it. I could understand if it was a 64 and maybe they carried the dash over in the heavier trucks or something. Any insight on this? It just now clicked to me and I am intrigued haha.

Re: Ok I just realized something...
We need pictures.
A 63 dash won't fit a 64 cab without serious sheet metal modifications. The wrap around windshield totally changes the dash. See in the photo below how the dash wraps around and their is the additional piece the adpats the dash to the windshield frame area. Are you sure it wasn't the single hump GMC style dash that you saw? Last edited by lakeroadster; 01-16-2011 at 11:58 AM. |

You know what? Now I feel pretty dumb haha I bet it was a GMC because it didn't have any badges or grill or anything on it, it was pretty bare. GMC's are rare where I'm at. I like the look of that dash though! I might just have to pay the $2 to go check it out again because I just glanced at it since it didn't have the knobs I needed haha.
