Yearone/vintageair order rant
here's my rant with Yearone, the Short version, have more details if wanted.
Saw the 30% off promo special superbowl weekend here, and ordered the vintageair A/C unit for my 67 slantnose on Saturday. Got a confirmation, 30% off the price of the A/C unit, and 2 small parts. Tuesday, got an email, said the A/C unit was discontinued from vendor, they cancelled the A/C part of the order, said I could buy newer version, electronic servo motor, works with my stock control, Gen IV, for more money, if I wanted! I called the vendor Vintageair, to verify, they had quit making the older version 14 months ago!! not recently as yearone said. Talked to a couple supervisors over the past week & 1/2, apparently I, Me, am the Only one to order a unit for a 67-72 chevy truck for at least the past 14mos, out of the whole USA, I am the only one, that is how they found their mistake, when I ordered it. They will not honor the discount, the new one is Discount EXempt! not trying to get it for free, just honor it if you're gonna post up a discount. Anyway, still talking with them to get a deal, Mods, adjust, move, or delete as necessary |

I agree, From what I've seen of Yearone's prices, they are high..... (on something)

UPDATE: Re: Yearone/vintageair order rant
well, after writing the president of Yearone, then workiing with a sales manager, a number of phone calls back and forth, we struck a deal I could live with, about 27% off the newer price of a vintage air unit. Now I am satisfied with Yearone. I will still order from them when the price is right
