Cupholder options with bench seat?

So in my '73 I've got the bench seat and I hate holding a cup between my legs. Anyone have some nice cup holder options they want to share. Maybe even something with some alternate storage as well.

Re: Cupholder options with bench seat?

Get the one that goes in the ash tray. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=118 I'm getting that one. I have one of those plastic ones from Walmart that sit on the floor or seat and it's spilled on my legs a couple of times during quick lane changes (avoiding stupid college students j-walking). I like the storage just fine, but it upsets too easily.

This came to mind:

But from the last page looks like he maynot be making them anymore.

I grab a passenger, or I deal with warm coke. Only on scalding hot days do I tolerate freezing my nuts off haha

Cup holders plus sells the same cup holder as LMC, but with color options. Called the "plug and chug".

Re: Cupholder options with bench seat?

I got this cup holder/storage deal thing at the walmart last fall. Straps to the seat. Works well. I'll try and get some photos later tonight.

Wish it were that easy for us 4-speed/205 guys. I do have one of those on the trans hump in my Malibu though!

Re: Cupholder options with bench seat?

X2 on what TexasJeff is using. See my attached photo (bottom last), as I have both the "Plug and Chug" version as well as the center console that TexasJeff recommends. While the ashtray model is OK, everyone should be aware it will only hold 12oz can sized drinks and NO LARGER, whereas the center console style is vastly more flexible. My only beef with it is that the screws which hold the foldover top are barely attached. But the ability to rest my elbow on it makes up for any shortcomings at the moment.

A coffee can screwed down works pretty good. I do like the collector idea better!
