Good Carbs?
Hey guys,
We had a nice little Speed Demon carb on for a while, but we could never tune it right, so we put a rochester on it, runs great. I'd like to try another carb though, so what kind are ya'll running? It's a 350 bored .30, vortec heads, headers, big cam, etc.

Edlebrock 600 cfm with electric choke on my 68 with a 350.
Holley 600 cfm on my Z28 with manual choke with a 350. Kind of hard to warm up in the winter. Holley 600 cfm with electric choke on my 71 Mach1 with a 351 cleveland. All of these perform pretty much the same. Kerry

I concur.....if you don't have the patience to dial in a carb, Edelbrock makes the most sense and typically works good right out of the box.

Holley Street Avenger. Took some tuning, but works great. Don't even need the choke in the warm months. It even fired right up and ran great after setting on the shelf all winter (during a build project on the truck).
Plug and play, they're not (most of the time). If that's what ya want, get an Edle, or Q-jet. But my Holley runs like a champ, and has since it's first tune (2.5yrs). Jay
