22" on 1969 c10
I have a 1969 c10. I just got 22x9.5 with a +12 mm offset. I have to add a 1" spacer on the back. My question is what would be the best tires to put on all the way around. I heard 265/35/22 but want to make sure before I buy them.

Re: 22" on 1969 c10
Hey bud...
My truck was actually dropped "as-it-is" when I got it. As for the actual amount of drop, I am really not sure?? Right now, front is 30 3/4" from ground to fender lip with 2" of clearance above top of the tire. Rear is 32 1/2" from ground to fender lip with 3" of clearance above thew top of the tire. The only reason I have not droped it more is because I have been on the fence for the last month as to whether I want to spend the money and do air or whether to just static drop (which would probably be just a 2.5" dropped spindle and using the spring that I already have on the truck and then doing a 4 or 5" spring in back with or without a block?? Little harder to decide what to install when you truly do not know the current amount of drop. Would suck to buy coils and find out the truck sits the same as it did to start with! Everytime I look at this pic that a fellow member did of my truck, it sit real hard to NOT want to install air!! |
