engine ID
I have tried looking up the engine numbers on my 1970 C10 but still can't figure out exactly what size engine is in it. The air cleaner has a 350 sticker but there is also a hand written tag on the core support that says 1967 327. Can anyone help?
I see a number on the block that says VOII7EC and there is one on the back of the motor on the drives side that says 3892657. Looking up the the numbers it can be a variety of motors. |

EC suffix code could either be a 327 or a 283. The casting number shows either a 302 (which I highly doubt), 327 or a Camaro 350.
I would lean towards the 327. Pull off a valve cover to see what the casting number for the heads are. Gary
