Re: Going to part ways with my c-10

I hear you, been there, almost did that.
Put it together to make it a driver and just stick to basic maintanence. Finish it after college. You'll be glad you did when you look back.

Re: Going to part ways with my c-10

not trying to seem like a jerk.
but in all honestly id save it.. you have breaks in semesters and days off.. a project, contrary to televisions standards takes time. patience and of course alot of freaking work..
we are "pimp yo ride" we dont have TV editing to make our projects go faster.. this is reality dude..

enjoy it... be patient. it will totally be worth it.

Re: Going to part ways with my c-10

i got discouraged with my 78 k20 from not having any money or a garage to work on it in and watching tv shows that completely restore and hot rod a car in 30 mins-1 hour (LOL).
so i sat on it a while.im sure glad i kept it now days.

just keep it and sit on it especially if its a descent truck!

Re: Going to part ways with my c-10

I feel your pain, although I have good neighbors. I am currently waiting to get mine back from paint and body. I whine and moan about how long they are taking to get it done. Soon, I will be the one holding up the completion of the project. If you have together to the point that you could sell it, can you drive it? If so, you are just getting to the fun part of the process.

If you sell it as an unfinished project you won't get much money. If you don't have much invested and you can recover your dollars, maybe it makes sense for this time in your life. If you've dumped money in the truck and you are selling because of short-term frustrations, you will probably be sorry later. Best of luck, whatever you decide to do.

Re: Going to part ways with my c-10

Alright ive got good news... shes staying... my gf knew i was upset the night i posted this and talked her dad who owns a construction company to give me a 18wheeler trailer up at his shop that's empty for my truck to be stored in... ontop of that her neighbor who they buy horse feed from has a c-10 thats been sitting there and i told him if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know... well he called this morning and said he would take 400$... after seeing him tonight i talked him down to 250$ and im gonna part that truck out to fund my truck... and to pay for my parts truck i made a deal with my gf that i wouldnt eat out for lunch for the next 3weeks and that should pay for the parts truck ... and even better news... both trucks will fit in the trailer so no one will ever know they are there ... today in all was an awesome day

I am glad you found a solution. Plus, you discovered that eating out every day is a budget killer. That's a good day.

Very good to hear. You will look back at this and be very happy you held onto her (both of them!).
