Actual progress - finally

So after reading Rockcrln's posts, watching ebfabmans videos again, and wasting too much time, I finally said, its only metal.

Not everything in So Cal is rust free. The beach and salt air does its own damage. Yes, you rust belt guys will be swearin under your breath and laughin at my 'rust', but it is what it is.

Started cuttin out the outer rocker. Back end of inner rocker looks solid after cleanin up. Still got to replace some floor, and the bottom of the a-pillar.

I can say I'm better with a spot weld cutter than a 4 1/2 inch cut off wheel.

Now some pix:

Re: Actual progress - finally

Got back out to the garage on Saturday. Finished removing the rest of the outer rocker.

Wow, why did I bother removing it, it was practically fresh from the factory underneath.

I already have my a-pillar patch for the fender mount. I think a floor section should handle the floor and inner rocker.

ebfabman - Earl, I now truly appreciate all the detail you went into on the dvds.
