Adding another fuse block?
I did a search and didnt have much luck. Im running my stock fuseblock right now and its in great shape. . I have to add probably an additional 10 power wires that need to be switched ignition fused wires.
2 compressors 4 guages kickdown switch electric choke. I want to add a fuseblock. just a simple setup with 5 or 6 fuses in it. I can run a relay to switched power to it and then i can power all of my additional stuff. You guys know of anywhere that sells something like this?? |

Re: Adding another fuse block?
I have a maxi-fuse block off some late model GM truck, bolts straight to the battery + terminal. I'm sure you can order one through GM, tell me if you need the part #

Re: Adding another fuse block?
Try Summit or Jegs. I got one that added 4 fuses for $20, they have a ton of different sizes.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
Napa sells several different ones and most of the wiring kit outfits sell add on fuse blocks.
This one at Napa isn't cheap but has plenty of circuits and you should be able to get it overnight at most Napa stores if they don't stock it.. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPage...ion=Fuse+Block |

Re: Adding another fuse block?
I found a small fuse block at O riley's. It holds 8 newer type fuses and it screws into the fire wall. I'm going to use it for the lighter stuff such as radio amp stuff. It was $8.00

Re: Adding another fuse block?
Here is a picture for it. Was like $8.00 for it. I'm going to putt all the switched ignition stuff on it.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
I seen a while back where M&H would put together a new fuse box with any add-ons that you wanted for our trucks... I don't remember where I read it though, might be worth looking into.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
The one I posted will run off the switched source also. Connect it to the new one with a heavy gauge wire to it and then run your other stuff off it. You could even run one over to the passenger side of the cab floor and have the rest hooked up there.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
If your going to run that many fuses I'd run it off a relay and have switched power turn it on.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
I used the Painless one you showed above for my EFI stuff, it works fine.

Re: Adding another fuse block?
I added a 6 circuit ato fuse panel to my existing panel. I also added a switch panel fed from the new fuse panel to switch each circuit on when needed. It works and costs $18.00. check it out at www.wire1hotrod.com Part # is 100-AG6. Been using it for three years with no problems. This particular fuse block has a common ground pad you can run the ground side of your circuits to. Finding a convenient ground isn't always that easy and this block is really handy.
