well i sat in the truck for a good 30 minutes trying to start it... this has happened to me once before...

when i turn the key, buzzer sounds as normal and all electrical stuff will operate.

when i try to start it though... nothing... no sounds... nothing the engine doesn't turn over or anything.

after turning the key a couple hundred times, when it finally gets contact it starts no probs.

any idea what the problem could be???

Its hard to say but i would check the basics first corrosion on the battery terminals, loose wire or bad contact on the starter and id check the ignition switch could be the switch thing on the bottom of the column is either loose or worn out

Dr,
It could be several things but I would get a broomstick or any long stick and rap the solenoid with it the next time it won't start.
If that does nothing then get a long screw driver or pry bar and ground the two terminals on the solenoid together. You should get a healthy spark when you do this and if you do and it still won't turn over its' starter time. If you get no spark, then it is ignition switch time.

Does it have the ESC? I had a problem similar to this about 2 years ago. I fixed by by-passing the ESC. Have not had a problem since, except for the starter going out and the power steering pump, constant oil leak, etc....

When checking the corrosion on the cables..........also check the ground.
