Cool 60-66's in the movies

I was watching kill bill vol 2 the other day, and bills brothers truck was a 65
I got to thinking of others that I remembered from the movies, the hero in mars attacks has a red 60, and in men in black , a beautiful 61 ss gets imploded by an alien (classics have no value whatsoever to hollywood),clint eastwood uses a 60 gmc in bridges of madison county.

add some if you guys know of any more....

"What Lies Beneath" Michelle Pfeiffer drives a nice fleetside at the end of the movie. I wanted one just like it.

Yall might want to check out the Internet Movie Cars Database, www.imcdb.org . They have pictures of just about every car in every scene of every movie. This site can entertain me for hours.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

There is a gray '63 Suburban on The Worlds Fastest Indian, starring Anthony Hopkins, playing Burt Monro.

Nubbie of Nub Graphix, the painter on American Chopper also drives a '64-'66 Suburban.

Clint Eastwood drives a '64-'66 Chevy stepside on Any Which Way But Loose with his sidekick orangutan, Clyde. I found an inside shot that is a '60-'63 and an outside shot that is a '64-'66.

.......in a Cheech & Chong movie...not sure which one..maybe Up in Smoke..the police use a panel as a survellence vehicle. It was a fake cleaning company and they would look out the side thru a zipper on some pants painted on the side.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

I don't recall the movie, but when I was 15 or 16 I saw a movie with Johnny Cash in it and he drove a '64-'66 stepside (I think it was gold in colour).
That was what got me started on finding my current vehicle.

Yes I remember that movie too, it was 1981, starring Johnney Cash, called " The Pride of Jesse Hallam". A very good family type movie, no big action scenes, he drove a 66 saddle color Chevy stepside normally in several scenes. There is another movie from 1976 called " A small town in Texas" which has a great action scenes for several minutes at the end. It was a 64-66 black Chevy stepside with a hopped up engine. If someone could find these photos?

Funny, not many people know of this movie. THe movie shows several long scenes with the '66, not just 1 or 2 sec short clips.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6i6HVVQQO4

This is the movie that inspired me to go out and get a '60 - '66 when I was 18.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

I was watching Back To The Future the other day when I was sick, and I noticed that at the end of the movie, there's a Suburban like mine (blue in color) parked across the street from Marty's house. It has no role in the movie, but I couldn't help noticing.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

I see lots of '60-'66 Chevy trucks, panels and suburbans as extras in movies, TV shows and commercials, that do not have a starring role. I would like to take my fleet to Hollywood to be used as extras.
