HEI for a 250 I6

I ran across an old truck(68 C20) in a local boneyard. It had electronic Ignition on it. I personally wouldn't it need all my stuff is V8. But thought I would run it by you guys. Are these items hard to find?? I thought it odd on a 68 truck.

It has been replaced. Someone replaced the points with the hei. There are 2 types. A 75-77 that doesnt have coil in cap and a 78-84 That looks like a sbc hei with coil in cap. Not sure how rare they are but figured the further info would help.

Yes, grab it- lot's of guys on here that still have the I6 and will want to swap cheaply once the virtues of HEI is bestowed upon them!

Yup, I wouldn't mind putting one on mine..............Got a new Point distrubutor very cheap, so I'll run that for the time being until I find one for the right price
