What the heck? After I put stock springs back I the front end of the truck it now sits at 33.5". The springs seem to be sittin in the holders correct. According to LMC the truck should be at 32". Would the back being still at the lowered height affect this. The back is at 31" because I haven't had time to put the stock springs back in. Why is the front so high or is it?

well most springs take a set after a few months.just call them and make sure you got the correct number..

What size tire are you running? It's easy to pick up an extra 1 1/2" if the tires you are using are taller than the one's LMC is using to figure the height with. I don't have the catalog here at work, but I think they list the tire size they are using. My guess is that your tire size is larger than theirs

Also, rage,nrat is right, drive it around for a bit and they will most likely settle a 1/2 or so.

They tires are either 265 or 275/60/15. The springs were out of a scrapped truck so they should be settled. Is there a HD spring that wouldn't squat as much maybe this is what I got from the junker.

I put V-8 springs in my 67 out of a 71GMC (I think they had 1 more coil over the ones in my truck) but I didn't notice any difference in ride height (I also put a V-8 engine in my truck). I went to the LMC website and they didn't list a tire size (I thought they did

) but they show the back sitting 2" higher than the front. Get your rear springs in and see if the difference is about 2". with these old trucks nothing will be perfect.

I have HD coils in my 70 c/10 and it sits as high as the 3/4 ton 72 in the parking lot at school. And with the engine out my truck raised about an inch at the most.

I know that a 1969 with stock V-8 has 19 loops and a 1971 with stock I-6 has 22 loops so I would look into something like that.

your springs will still settle. They are setteling into the pockets.
