Need some help....!!!!!

I need some help on trim location. I need the distance between the arrows (I'm guessing it's probably the same all the way down). Also is the lower trim right on the body line? Any close up pictures would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

The assembly manual is missing vital dimentions. They don't give you a starting point. I am trying to figure out where the upper box moldings go on a shortbox also.

Re: Need some help....!!!!!

Rob I have the 7 pages scanned that show the mounting dimensions for the trim. I'll get them resized and posted later this evening, or I can e-mail you the full size images.

Re: Need some help....!!!!!

John, yeah...I'll do it soon as I resize them to fit the board.

Ron and all interested here are the scans linked from my Photobucket Page. They are bigger than the board permits so hopefully they will get you what you need

I got lucky looking through the Assembly Manual. I have yet to figure out how that darn thing is arranged, so most of the time it's a page by page search. Tonight I had a vision that led me quickly to the pages needed.

Hope this helps.

Ask and you shall receive..

I resized and added a few (cab, tailgate, tail lights) and made a thread in the FAQ area for long term benefits

Did I mention the assembly manual is a big pain in the @#% to read

Re: Need some help....!!!!!

I dont like to complain, but like I said earlier in this post, they are missing critical dimensions. Or am i missing something? For example, on the short box upper bed moulding, They show how far to measure down from line "30" for each hole, but how do you determine line "30" location???? Each illustration is like that. they don't tell you how to find the reference lines.

Re: Need some help....!!!!!

It has been a while since my engineering classes, but I see what you mean now. I guess I just assumed some old info from classes many moons ago. Assembly is based off of a 1 inch grid of the cab. I'd have to go measure mine for sure but line 30 would be 30" up from the assembly line floor. Looking at this cab grid, that would make it 25 inches up from the bottom of the lower body line of the rocker.
