Starter Will Not Engage
72 1/2 ton, big block. Been parked for several years. Put a new battery in and turned the key, but no starter action..nothing. There's power to the ignition system when the key is in the run position. I'm thinking neutral safety switch. Had an old 72 Cadillac that did the same thing. Thoughts?
And yes, before I tried to start the engoine, I made sure that it spun and pulled the plugs and squirted some lubricant in the cylinders.

Re: Starter Will Not Engage
See if you have power at the purple wire on the starter solenoid while cranking. If not it's farther back.
