I'm new to the site and love it. I purchased my truck from Ebay about 3 years ago - an actual AZ truck with only surface rust. started on the tear down in August. here are few pictures - wish me luck..

It looks Killer!

I was thinking of that same combo, any thoughts on where or how that shifter is going to be inside. Guess running buckets is the only option.

There's a kit to move the shifter forward about 5-6 inches, somebody here did a great write-up on it.

Great question!! something i was going to deal with later (buckets if i had to, prefer to stay with a bench). if you have info please let me know.

Hey trkfrk, Welcome to the board. Looks like a great build you have going, I'm doing a very similar build, exception is I'm using an LT-1 with 6 speed. Planning on using late model silverado buckets with integrated shoulder belts. Below are some links I found this week on manual/6 speed installations, one even from another forum about our trucks that includes lots of info. Keep the pics coming and good luck.

Not sure if there are any C10 clubs.... I was trying to get some Pro-Touring types to meet the last Saturday of every month... Mostly Chevelle guys... We did good for a few months... then it just got too hot ... So I havent tried to keep it going.... It was at the Red Rock Casino .. Where in Vegas are you?

I'm doing an LS3/T56 swap into my 67 Chevelle... not sure I can be any help as its still in progress....

Should definetly put one together...my buddy has a 87 that he is building too. but would be cool cruising the strip all c10's!! nice truck btw. let me know if you need any help too.

not much help as far as shifter position, but I came across a fellow who used a 4wd floor pan to give the 6 speed proper clearance. Ill re-post if I ever find the link.

could you just switch in the High Hump bolt in part and have the clearance you need ?

Very nice build. I was they guy mentioned above who used the 4WD hump (or BBC hump) with my LS/t56 swap. It will give you loads of room and is a very easy option.

Also, if you want to run a bench with the t56 you can - I did. You just have to find a shifter that is bent right. I happened across a factory '68 b-body mopar shifter and it worked perfectly. I raised it 1" tho.

Again, nice work. You're going to love it.

Thanks to your help, I did use a high hump. I modified it for the new shifter location.

Working on the bed now. Soda blasting is complete. I would not recommend doing this in front of your house like I did.
