Cool a/c fan switch problem-

Once again, I must return to the masters of these fine trucks for some sound advise and shared wisedom! I read recently where someone had a problem with the fan control switch-it would go low, then medium, then back to low-but not high. Can anyone remember the fix? I put in a fresh switch-just r & r'd the heater core -cleaned the evaporater and detailed everything associated with the a/c-heating system. Just can't get the fan to blow on high. I did try the fan directly to the battery prior to install and it turns lots of rpm's hooked directly. This problem did exsist before I started on the project( that's why I had a new Idack switch.....any bells ringing??? help.....Steve

Re: a/c fan switch problem-

There is a relay on top of the heater box that is probably your problem. It also has a ground that goes from it to the fan motor and a ground that goes from the fan motor to the cowl.
