Sound deadening materials
What have some of you guys used and how much sq. ft. did you use ? I am looking at getting the Brown Bread stuff or Dynomat. Has anyone used either or another product that you liked.
Thanks

I just did my truck. I used DynaMat Xtreme. I ordered their 36 square foot bulk pack and was able to complete the entire floor and about half of the back wall behind where the gas tank used to be. I will have to order some additional material to finish the back wall and do the doors. As for ease of installation, it was a piece of cake! I would not hesitate on using the Xtreme DynaMat again. I believe the DynaMat has the best ratings for deadening sound, so that's why I chose to use it.

Check out this link ... http://www.quietcoat.com/html/compare_to_dynamat.html
Supposed to be twice as quiet as Dynamat, for half the price. And yes, it comes in a pail. Looks like it absorbs lower frequency sound better too. |
