Need help identifying motor!!
Sold my old truck and just got me a 84 swb that's really straight and is lowered with I guess a 350 motor? Has center bolt valve covers and converted to carb with weiand stealth intake and edelbrock 1406 carb. I looked behind drivers head for casting number and all I could see was a gm stamp and it said 5.7 LG and then right under that SGI no other numbers?? I felt around and looked with flash light and saw nothing. Can anyone help me figure this out???

Re: Need help identifying motor!!
Get the numbers off the pad at the front behind the alternator. The pads part of the block deck the heads sit on.

Re: Need help identifying motor!!
If the center bolt valve covers are original, it should be '87 or newer, they came out with the 1-piece rear main seal and TBI.
