Re: Which piece is better??

Do you have your truck apart yet? If not, you may want to wait until you have pulled it apart and are 100% certain that you only need 4" of floor.

If you are certain, I would call Manes on Monday and ask them what the differences of the two pieces are. I don't see an explanation of differences on the website. Maybe one covers a little more area? Maybe it is simply quality of the piece? The only way to know is to ask.

Re: Which piece is better??

Pretty sure they both support the board. I have bought from wes at classic heartbeat and not had any problems. I have not used manes yet. Send wes a PM and maybe he can explain the difference. Good luck.

Re: Which piece is better??

if all you need is the small section where the seatbelt mounts i'd spend some time and effort to fabricate the piece myself either one is alot of money to spend for that small easily made piece

Re: Which piece is better??

PM tri_pro automotive too. He can fill you in on all the details.

THis piece might work as well, or just get a $10 piece of steel from Lowes and patch your floor..

Re: Which piece is better??

Odds are they both came from the same manufacturer. It is what the sales person wants for them that makes them a good deal or not. Since you live in Salina, you can actually drive to the Manes Truck Parts business and see the product before picking them up.

Re: Which piece is better??

I've had the piece that ClassicHeartbeat shows in my hands when I visited Wes at his store and it is a quality piece.
I don't know about the other one but if you are close enough to drive over and take a look before buying that may be the thing to do. There is something to be said for being able to lay your hands on the part and be able to tell your self "Oh Yea" or "oh no" before laying out the cash.
