Cab years?

Was my cab from 69 the same cab they put on in 72? Like if I bought a 72 AC Cab will it bolt up to my 69 body and frame?

It'll fit, and look right to 99% of the ppl, but the throttle would be cable instead of mechanical linkage, the throttle predal would be suspended from the top instead of fixed to the floor...there would be a vent in the drivers door jamb...that's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Thumbs up

There are some minor differences, but I'm pretty sure it will bolt on to a 1967-72 chassis. There is no provision for a roof mounted rearview (drill holes) and the door jambs have a vent in them that the previous years did not. The vent is basically a pressure release for when you close the door.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong or off on any differences.

There's an extra hole in the floor under the seat in front of the gas tank for the extra EEC fuel lines. All 67-72 cabs are interchangeable as far as the cab mounts are concerned.

Well, Andy she was low bucks for many yrs......im still paying for that 6 spd tho! the 1st time that old truck was really "twisted" on the open road, she was runnin a 425 Caddy! with the A pillars laid back 8-10 degrees, & 4" lopped off the top, she was a pretty smooth ride to about 140(all low bucks, that Caddy rocked )......driveline issues , or out of balance tire kicked in @ that point, & it were time to shut that old Chev(or Caddy ) down Low buckin is d@mn sweet, & that "fat Cad" rocks......only 1 thing I like more, (a fat Olds)......crazy Al
