Black trucks - Whats your opinion?

How many of you guys like our trucks in black? I know its a pain to keep clean and a real pain to paint, because everyting needs to be real perfect prior to the paint. So any flaws will surely come thru in the paint. But man I love black trucks with a nice set of chrome or polished alumn. wheels.

Anyone agree or comments?

Black is awsome on a straight truck, but if your truck isn't straight, it can sure make your truck look like crap.

I have had a black vehicle before. Bought it brand new. I will never own another one! It was the biggest pain to keep clean! And when you are all done cleaning it and clean up all the supplies it took to clean it up. You look back at the truck and there is a film of dust already on it! That said, I think everyone should own atleast one Black car/truck in thier lives to appreciate it. But they are the sharpest looking all polished up with the chrome shining!! I am glad they are out there to look at, but not to own for me!! 70short/step

My 71 truck is a factory black truck and I would never paint it any other color. Since it is my driver right now it is no problem. Black looks good on these trucks. Had a Mach 1 mustang that was black and do remember how hard it was to keep it clean. A real pain for sure. They sure do look good though!!

As you can see by Steven Sellers post my truck is super nice.

Glad to see he liked it enough to post.

I get comments from all around town, by all age groups on how sharp it looks.

That shot was taken just after I put the new Gaylord lid on the bed and washed her up for the shot........

In the past, I have owned a black truck and a black Vette. I would spend a whole Saturday detailing it. By Monday, it would look like it hadn't been touched in a month. Nevada is a real dusty place. If I lived in a different part of the country, like Cali, in a big city, I would consider it again. They look awesome at night when you're cruzin..

Black rules. My Red Rocket was factory black with every stainless option and upper and lower moldings. I am going to return it to factor someday. It will then be a trailer queen show truck

WHEN THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND KEPT CLEAN BLACK IS AWSOME. BUT IT DOES SHOW ANY BODY WORK FLAWS. ISNT VERY FORGIVING TO SCRATCHES, CHIPS, AND THOSE AWFUL LOOKING SWIRL MARKS FROM WAXING. IVE OWNED A BLACK CAR AND WOULD NEVER DO IT AGAIN. THERES TO MANY GOOD LOOKING , EASIER TO KEEP CLEAN COLORS OUT THERE. I HOPE YOU GOT SOME AC !!!!

Black is an awesome color when it is clean. The problem is, it's never clean. Like 70short/step said by the time you get through cleaning it up, it's dirty again.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone that owns 4 black vehicles...
