Taking a little drive

So, it looks like I am heading from NH to KY in the not too distant future.

I can haul a trailer or not (I don't need to) and I don't mind going out of my way (not more than 500 miles total).

What do you all need moved around the eastern seaboard?

I can move stuff for the cost of fuel and road food.

I also have a seat open if someone wants to come along.

Feel free to ask, if you don't mind. I'd be happy to haul their stuff.

Pitman,NJ
Mauldin, SC
Nicholasville, KY

No trailer required yet, but I am happy to haul one.

Looks like I am heading out next week and doing this in four days.

How about bringing a truck(69 K20) from Mass. down to VA? I could meet along I-95? or HWY 13 on the eastern shore.

I can do that, pretty easily.

My tow rig is a Dodge Cummins with a wee bit of modification. 400hp and 812ft lbs of tq.

Where in MA and where in VA?

Not sure. I'm doing this for fuel and food costs, so whatever it actually runs me in Fuel. I can alos haul that in a separate trip. For instance, I am going to Maine tomorrow to get Kurt's (vtblazer) new work truck.

I tend to get about 14mpg loaded with 9k on the trailer.

Actually, in driving the mountains of northern maine, I dropped down to 12.7MPG with a 4wd K20 Fleetside and an extra set of 33" tires. So, it should be about the same.

Plainville, Mass to Chesapeake VA, or anywhere south of Richmond along 95 to the east coast of VA. Mapquest has it 567 miles from Plainville to Chesapeake VA so at 14 MPG I'd have no problem with a couple hundred. When would you want to pick up the truck? and I'll work with the seller(another board member). Thanks,

Jim

They are side by side, Nicholasville is just south west of Lexington.

Hey Grendel, I am like 6 hours from Lexington, so I don't think I am
as close as you thought I might be, but if something comes up and
you do end up coming this way just PM me and I will make a point
to be here, this could be your overnight turn around spot, and free
food, room, and a bath, all I ask for is you 2 show up, let me know.

You might want to post this in my add (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=170066) then you could haul the parts one way or the other for anybody looking for something!

Ok, so far no vehicle. Vtblazer has a few very cherry ones that would be excellent projects.

Someone's got to need something hauled around. Otherwise, this is a VERY quick trip

If someone wanted the whole 69 GMC I have that is missing the front clip and engine I would let it go for $400.00 or any reasonable offer! It could be worked out with grendel to get this hauled. The truck has a title. Look at my garage sale post for pics.

Would like to find a way to help grendel with his trip!

Thanks for the help. I really don't need to haul a trailer. I am trying to be helpful.

I should have planned something earlier...oh well. I live on the eastern side of PA so if you run into any trouble around there I could possibly help you. PM if you want my number for assistance.
