76 k5 blazer 4x4-2wd conv.
I am buying a 76 k5 blazer 4x4 and have plans to convert to 2wd and bag! Having never done this, I am curious what year model 2wd swb c10 frames would work if any. I am also all ears for any advice you guys have with this conversion. Thanks and I love this board!

Just use your 4x frame and convert it to 2wd.. Many people have done it.. Everything pretty much bolts up you do have to drill the holes since the 4x frame doesn't have the holes for the front crossmember but it is doable. I had to go and get a new frame for my 2wd and found a 4x frame which we modified it to fit the dropped crossmember..

What he said, C10 frames are longer than Blazer frames and would require cutting to make it work - may as well modify what you have.

4x frame with a Suicide Doors dropped member installed..
You will want to get the front spring perches off a 2wd as the 4x perches in the front are longer than than the 2wd..From this side pic you can see the difference between the factory 4x and the 2wd that is bolted up.. |
