Wheel advice needed...

I have a '71 longbed stepside. I'd like to put some oldshool spoke or slotted aluminum mags on it, but I don't want them sticking out the fender. I'd like 8" wide but I will go to 7" if that is all that will fit. What size and back spacing looks good?
Thanks in advance for help.

Re: Wheel advice needed...

Mine's not a longbed, but the dimensions are still the same. I'm running 15x8's(3.75" bs) on all corners with 255/60/15 and 275/60/15 tires with a 3.5/5 drop.

15X7 with 3.5 backspace 215-70-15 at all (5) corners. Leaves me room to bag it. Wasn't sure if you planned on lowering yours. If not, these tires would be too small.

edit: oh yeah...front and rear out of a '72. might make some difference in track width.
