ECE Drop Spindles - what finish are they?
Just ordered a set of the ECE drop spindles and was surprised to hear that they showed up raw (no paint or powdercoat on them).
Thought that they might be painted cast - or even clear coated but they are not... What did you guys do to protect them from rusting? Pix would be great - if you have them. Thanks. |

Re: ECE Drop Spindles - what finish are they?
I think just about all aftermarket spindles are just unfinished cast parts.
I painted my argent silver but haven't installed them yet.

Re: ECE Drop Spindles - what finish are they?
These are ECE spindles. Did them in cast blast cast iron gray along with all my steering components. The shocks are what they were when I pulled them out of the box.

Re: ECE Drop Spindles - what finish are they?
Some things you just have to paint yourself. Especially mechanical parts that are not usually painted on any vehicle.

Re: ECE Drop Spindles - what finish are they?
When powdercoating, mask the spud, ball joint and tie rod holes and the machined slides where the caliper rides.
