which battery to jump start? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I recently acquired an 85 Silverado with 2 batteries. If I have to jump start it, does it matter which battery I hook the jumper cables to? I know the PO had it for an electric trailer tongue jack.

assuming they are interconnected it shouldnt matter but the battery with the connection to the starter is the right side one so that would be more effective
