Re: 67 C10 quarter glass
Take a flat screwdriver and go around the inside folding the seal in as it works around the glass will come out , to put it back in take some weedeater string and wrap it around the seal installed on the glass put the bottom in and have a helper push in on the glass from the out side while you pull the string as it gos around it will pull the glass and seal in place ,

Re: 67 C10 quarter glass
Not familiar with the term quarter glass as it relates to our trucks. If you're talking about the wing vent, this link should help.

Re: 67 C10 quarter glass
Welcome to the site! It's always neat to learn what other countries call other things/parts of a car.
Here in the states we call the rear windows in a coupe the "quarter glass". We call what you're referring to either a "wing window" or "vent window." We even have different names for it in the states! The post above should be what you're looking for. If not, if you're trying to actually remove it from the door, you pretty much have to gut the door. It's easier to get out if you remove the inside door regulator, the window (you can remove the rear channel - feel and look for the screws, remove the regulator, and let the glass/regulator sit in the bottom of the door) then remove the 3 or 4 screws along the leading edge of the door that screw into the vent window, then there's two screws at the bottom. Tilt it back, pull it most of the way out, then it needs to be rotated 90* to get it out the rest of the way. It's quite a task, but not hard. Check out this video: and this one (wrong year truck 73-87 but very similar): Attached is what we call the quarter glass

Re: 67 C10 quarter glass
Hey.......thanks for the welcome.
Yeah its actually what you guys would call the "vent window"..........we call it the "quarter glass" in aust. I already have managed to get the whole assy out [with some brute force and a lot of swearing ].......the video is exactly what i'm after...........Thanks so much. This site / forum is fantastic.........we dont have a great deal of C10's or 20's over here in Aust..........and you guys have access to a LOT of cool aftermarket / repro stuff. Very jealous.......thanks again for the welcome........I must update my details and put some photos up of my C10 project. |
