I already have a speed warning dash I just was wondering what this piece that came off of the red dash bezel, it was on the right hand corner, thought maybe there's a cover or a piece missing to the plate?????!!!!!!??? cause I don't know.

The deal in the center is just the dummy lights on the non-guage inst. panel.
Speed warning would have a small knob on the panel to the left of the speedo and an extra arm in the speedo face that you select to a certian speed, then it buzzes to let you know you have exceeded your pre-set speed. Pic of a 69 Longhorn dash with the speed warning. Owned by a cool former member. |

Don't they use square "GM" logos as deletes on the bezel?

that is the cheaper version of a choke/throttle delete plate. i've had a few of them over the years and they were on non-guage dashes. guage dashes i've seen had the chrome/black GM version. i'm NOT saying this is etched in stone, just my experience parting these trucks over the last 20 + years.

Jerry is right on this one, it was a choke delete plug. I also have seen a few and probably have some lying around.
