'66 Budget friendly driver
Here is my next little project. Going to try to do a budget friendly driver. My last project was full blown, this one I want to keep mostly stock. Stay tuned as we make this truck a nice little Hot Rod that will hopefully catch some eyes. Here is what we are starting with

Looks like a good one to start with. That ought to be easy on the budget.

Looks really nice, I think the "catch some eyes" factor is all ready there. I'm subscribed

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Finally got the power steering in. The pump brackets and pulleys put up a good fight. Thank God I had my best man willie on the case. This thing drives sooo good now. I'm having a blast running it around town. I'm pretty stoked to get some other stuff done to it to make it even better!

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Sweet. So much easier to do stuff to em when they move around on their own power. I am soo sick of pushing.

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Working on adding power steering right now. My last truck I was always worried about someone touching it, because it was black mostly, this one I want to be able to drive without worry. And I can throw stuff in the bed!

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
I know exactly what you mean. My last hot rod (67 Chevelle pro-street) was black too and I was always wiping and cleaning on it. this one I want to wipe it once and forget it for the day. So much more fun.

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
I have withdraws like a junky. It's so excruciating having it out of commission doing upgrades.

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Love the idea behind this one. Looks like a good candidate for a Hot Rod Driver!
Do you know what those hub caps came off of?

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Karl, I do not. I thought they may be originals? I'm not as familiar with this body style

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver
Seth
I know that they are not original Chevy Truck for the '66. I think that they are some poverty caps from a Camaro or Chevelle but not sure the years...
