new repro stepside fenders

I haven't been monitoring this site much lately so forgive me if this is old material. Has anyone bought the repro step fenders and if so how are they? Good quality? Price? Vendors?

I have had them in here, and although I haven't fitted them on a truck, I have had them side by side with the origanals. They looked great. I then shipped a set to jdawg in Hawii. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wes, how about price? I bought a box that had decent fenders, but they are turning into a lot of work (which I don't mind, I do it myself), but if the price is reasonable maybe I'm wasting my time fixing up the old ones.

I have a set here at the shop I would sell and you would think you stole them but they would have to be picked up. I can also drop ship you a set if interested? Thanks Tim

I just pulled a pair of repro's from a truck that I just parted out, they fit very nicely. I couldn't tell that they were repros except that I knew the owner.

Thanks for the replies. I'm getting the info that the quality is good but still haven't heard a mention of price. Anyone?

Randy, I'm just curious why someone would junk a pickup (if you are parting it out I'm assuming this is the case) with the pretty new repro fenders on it.

I found some really nice originals for my truck. If I needed a pair I would rather use the retro tin rather than the fiber glass.

The truck was work more in parts than whole. It had no drivetrain and needed alot of work. Some parts had already been removed for his other project before he sold it to me. I would never junk a good truck!!
Also, I mis-read the post the first time.....I didn't realize that he was talking about the rear fenders.

I stopped at the Truck Shop in Orange CA the other day, and they had them for $299 each. The guy there said that they are making them. I bought stuff from them before, and the prices are cheaper than anyone I've seen on the board here. They have a cool showroom with stuff even hanging from the ceiling.

Does anyone know of a vendor in Iowa or any of the midwestern states who handles the step fenders?
