Heater/Defrost Please Help!
i have a 72 c10 and i need help with my defrost and heater controls.. can anyone show me a picture of what i need to do and what it looks like under the dash? I think im going to order the heater control box w/o ac out of lmc along with the cable set but does anyone know if thats all i need? i have the heater box so i wont need that and i saw but other than that i dont have anything else. can someone help me out.. this is one of the last things i need to do to finish my truck!!

I just replaced the control on my '68, it's stupid simple. All that's involved is the control panel itself, the snap-in light and the cables. Does the LMC kit included the electrical components for the fan control?

I just finished refubing my interior heater components - just take it one step at a time...
1st remove and check control unit operation and fix or replace as necessary. I repaired mine to as good as new. Remove and check the cables. Mine were very hard to move. Working fine now after lots of lubing. Then I took out the main heater plenum. I painted it and lubed the pivot points so all is working smooth now. Then I took out the plenum against the firewall. It's getting cleaned. Then I lubed the flap pivot points on the engine side of the firewall and that fixed a nasty squeek and makes it move real nice. I'll be putting it all back together soon and expect it should all work fine. Mark B |

Make sure you don't kink the cables are put them in to much of a bind. Also when assembling make sure you don't get them upside down when you twist the controller up in the dash. beleive me it can happen!

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
