My 12yr Old With Her New Truck

We went and picked up my daughter's 67 today she bought it with her own money!! Boy is she proud of it !! It's pretty rough and has no motor but we can fix it . This was a priceless moment for me . We will start a build thread on it when we get going . First we have to find a six for it we can afford . It's a 3/4 ton now plans a make it a 1/2 ton straight 6 automatic when were done . Here are some pics for you to enjoy !! Oh Yeah that's the title she's holding in the pics . Bob

Hey Bob 68327...as long as her truck has no motor your daughter cannot get a speeding ticket. She looks as proud has a fox in a hen house. She made a wise decision.

That's why it will get a six in it with an auto . She's very proud . I don't imagine there are to many 12yr old girls out there that own their own truck!! The time we get to spend together working on it will be priceless !!! Bob

Sweet. Nice to see another '67 being saved. It's cool to see her get excited about fixing up a classic instead of wanting a "dur-dur" Honda or other stupid kids car. Keep us posted with the progress! Beautiful starting point.

Very cool! Do we see a new Young Gun (gunnette?) here?

She's got a great starting point and with the suspension swap will learn from the ground up.
Congrats on starting her out right!!

Re: My 12yr Old With Her New Truck

So what's her nic on the board? She needs to learn thru reading the post's also.Besides if you're like me you will need someone to remind you of the things you forgot. It's awesome that she wanted an old truck that bad.It also solved your gift buying problems for several years, you can now legitimately give her truck stuff.

Priceless pics... I'm sure you're proud of her.

Having had some nephews that were interested in my trucks when they were that age, I would suggest that you take advangage of her interest as soon as possible.... Hate to say it, but once they hit the teenage years, their interests change almost overnight.
