Imdarrin - West Coast Mirror Pics

Here are some pics of the mirrors on my latest K20 project. They are listed as option "DG4 West Coast Mirror -Jr-" on the glove box. Hope this helps.

Post Mirrors

I thought the west coast mirrors had a mount on the top of the door above the window and a mount below the window, just 2 mounts not the tripod style mounts, but what do I know .

It turns out that the style Dusti is refering to was what was included on the west coast jr option in the 67/68, and Dean's mirrors were on the 69 - 72 under the same option code.

Dean, What is the length of the lower leg on the West Coast Jr.? I have a set in my garage and they look identical but that lower leg looks slightly shorter. Were these used on later model Chevs with slightly shorter legs?

I have a set just like Dean's on my 69, when i bought it, it had after market mirrors on it. I found a set a few years later on a truck that was setting. Asked about them and got them for $20. My truck doors had the mounting holes still in the doors and the option is Jr RV Mirrors (don't kn0ow the code). I thought west coast mounted to the top of the window frame.

I'm not a mirror expert by any means, but now I'm curious. Was there a different definition of West Coast mirrors in the 67-68 & 69-72? Or is there a West Coast and West Cost JR mirror?

My green truck had original paint with only 30K miles so I'm sure the mirrors are what came on it. The mirror glass is also dated and that matches the truck.

I wonder if it made any difference that some of these trucks were made in US and others in Canada? You would think they were all the same though.

I BELIEVE THESE ARE THE WEST COAST MIRRORS (NOT THE WEST COAST JR. MIRRORS) THEY WERE MADE IN PONTIAC MICHIGAN IN AUGUST OF 1970. I'M NOT SURE OF THE OPTION NO. BUT HERE IS THE PART # JOHN
