Talking 1958 /1971 C-10 frame question

Ok, I thought I would come to the experts on this, I am usually on the older side, 47-59 board.
Ok, I have a 1958 fleetside truck with a 71-72 C-10 front clip. I lowered it with 2 1/2" drop spindles and pulled the springs until my bags show up, the crossmember is only about 3" from the floor but my body will be 1 1/2'' -2" from the floor. I C-nothed the rear with a 2 1/2" notch, (yeah I know, but baby steps for me) I want the body to be about 1/2" from the floor How can I solve this problem economically. Will the bags compressed raise it? I got my bag setup from suicidedoors.

I don't know the answer to your question, but that's probably an interesting looking truck.

Re: 1958 /1971 C-10 frame question

WE need a forum on air bagging trucks only. I know there is a lot of work involved in the job. My son wants to do it to my truck, and I have a lot of questions. I put a thread up , but got no help.

Sorry, it has a 71-72 front FRAME clip. I was wondering if you guys who have bagged fronts, have had to extend your brake lines? if so, where did you get them?

Have you tried the "suspension" forum?
