Starter wire harness

HI ALL i just got a wireharness for my starter its the original foot starter ,,, im having troubles on the wireharness my was all cut up so i got a new one i knwo where the wires go to starter its after that it has a three way and some pink wires and a few green ones i dont know where they go , ? anyone remember or have a pic of theres ? thank you , ohhh the end plug are the type that clip on round plugs like on the back of dash but i dont have that many post sitcking only for fuel and temp , now i got like 10 8 post style ones ?

First. What year truck & engine. You should have gotten a diagram & instrucktion sheet whith the harness. Is it s universal harness or specific to that make/model?

sorry ,, 1956 3100 std trans 6 cyl, i think i got it the extra wires go to a resistor ,, i had a msd ign. box ,, and im missing a jumper wire from ign switch to amp gauge ..plus they have a wire in the harness for a eletric wiper ,,so that cuts back on three of the wires i couldnt figure out ,, i have vacumm wipers

RUDE DUDE THANK YOU ,,, the wire diagram you posted better and easier plus thats how mine was wired like the 6 volt style , with out a resistor and the temp gauge comes straight off harness to gauge ..

for price of a ballest resistor and a mounting bracket i can get a cheap resistor coil ,, plus after getting it hooked up now my turn signals dont work unless iu push brake light and my brake lights dont work unless turn signals turned on and the wires get hot .. fix one thing and on to the next ,, lol i love these old cars ,
