Touch up paint costs.

Besides the rattle can and rustoleum jobs, how much do most paint stores cost to mix up a little touch up paint? I blew a tire today and the tread whipped up and nicked a good pit of paint off the fender. Not to mention my door got a little spot last weekend backing out of a cramped club parking lot (because some jackarse pulled in later after I parked and decided to not pull his honda all the way in).. a protruding edge of a dumpster got me, instead of me bumper punching this honda across the lot.

I have some paint that almost matches, but before I spray bomb and buff the crap out of the spots, I'd like to know the average costs for a bit of touch up paint.

Re: Touch up paint costs.

Try checking with you local NAPA. Some of them mix paint and my local NAPA can mix the older colors. He said that a lot of them can. I paid $17 for a pint of green paint so colors like red will probably be more.

Re: Touch up paint costs.

My paint has no clear, it's just a single stage paint. Cheap-o from long ago.

I'll see what NAPA can do, thanks!

Good thing about not having a show quality body is little things like this don't send me to the asylum!

Re: Touch up paint costs.

Try Gladwin, higher price but most places match colors pretty well. Probably cost you $50 for a quart.
