Question What kind of undercoat do you all use?

I painted my frame from the cab back with POR-15, and the prep. work was a pain. My frame is not rusted, so removing all the factory paint was difficult. I want something very durable, will last a long time, and looks good too. I would prefer to rattle can it, but brush application is okay. Thanks for any suggestions!

I've used black rubberized rocker guard with excellent results. I apply it with a shutz gun, if you have a compressor you can buy a cheap shutz gun for around $20.00. The rocker guard looks good, stands up well, and is not like the tar based undercoatings.

I've used this product, it's available in black.

3m also makes rocker guard but not in black, they have it in tan and clear but it can be tinted. 3m does make a body schutz coating but I've never tried it.
