1st generation strong arms question
I am purchasing some 1st generation strong arms were there any problems with these that anyone knows of? The owner is parting out truck for $ due to job loss. Thanks ahead of time for your response.

Re: 1st generation strong arms question
The first generation lower StrongArms had the shock mount on the "lower side" of the a-arm tube.
ART later changed the shock mount to the "upper side" to increase ground clearance. Other than that they should be fine. What year ball joints come with them? That might be the only problem.

Re: 1st generation strong arms question
these are the 73-87 ones I ask you about if they would fit if I get a new spindle on my 72. Could I move the shock mount ?

Re: 1st generation strong arms question
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they didn't have mount points for a sway bar?

The strongarms use a link style connections for the mounting points of the sway bar.

Re: 1st generation strong arms question
Glad I could help. Great deal on the parts. Have fun at the races. When are you coming back this way? You need to post some pictures of your truck, .
